Working Principle
1. With the help of a keyless mechanical interference fit, this drilling tool connects hubs solidly to shafts so as to transmit torque or to withstand axial thrust.
2. This mechanical interference fit utilizes screw tension in the locking device and is converted into radial pressure via an inclined plane.
3. This pressure expands the device to eliminate the gap between the hub and the shaft. It makes use of the friction bond between the locking device and the shaft or hub to create a zero backlash connection.
4. This connection is easily releasable to remove the mechanical interference fit.
